Hedland Collective Steering Committee Expression of Interest Information

The Hedland Collective is seeking expressions of interest to join the Hedland Collective Steering Committee.

The Hedland Collective is a driving force in the Hedland community, providing strategic direction and leadership. The purpose of the Hedland Collective is to further develop Hedland as a safe, vibrant community which attracts and retains residents and businesses.

Over the next few years the Hedland Collective is focusing on the areas of Early Years Education and Care, Education and Training pathways, and Community Safety.

Some of the great outcomes the Hedland Collective has achieved in 2019 include:

  • The completion of the Hedland Early Years Education and Care Strategy and progress towards the creation of up to 80 new child care places for the Hedland community that will become available in 2020 in partnership with BHP and the Town of Port Hedland
  • Working with Hedland Senior High School and local industry to secure more than 24 School-Based Traineeships for Year 11 students in 2020
  • Contributing to the development of the Town of Port Hedland’s Community Safety Plan as a member of the Community Safety Forum

If you have a passion, interest, or skill that aligns with the Hedland Collective’s goals we would love to have you as part of the Steering Committee. As a Steering Committee member, you will be responsible for advocacy, strategy development and oversight of coordination and administration.
